All incoming requests are subject to review by the NIH Tetramer Resource Committee (TRC) for approval.

Evaluation Criteria

The NIH TRC evaluates requests based on the following:

  1. Completeness of information:
    1. Does the request include concise, yet sufficient details to justify the request, including a description of project, highlighting the scientific focus and details on how the reagent(s) will be used.
    2. Does the request include binding data in an acceptable format, ie. PowerPoint slide format, with the appropriate figure legend and labels.
Note: If using a publication as binding data, please copy and paste the applicable figure(s) in a PowerPoint slide.

  2. Novelty of Reagent: If the request is for a reagent that the Tetramer Core Facility has not previously produced it will be considered a “novel” reagent.

Review Timelines

Standard Requests:

  • Requests with complete and clear information, as outlined above, are generally reviewed within 2 weeks of submission.
  • Requests lacking sufficient information will be subject to follow-up and therefore may experience delays.

Novel Reagents:

  • Novel reagents undergo a more in-depth evaluation and are generally reviewed within 2-4 weeks of submission.

Additional Considerations:

  • Please note that holidays, particularly the end-of-year holiday season, may extend these review timelines.
  • Email tcf.manager@emory.edu for any questions or further information.
